Open Letters

Public letters from R123 and R123NEWS to the American people, to lawmakers, and to institutional leaders who have forgotten that their power exists to protect human lives.

Our open letters are not press releases. They are plain‑spoken calls to action and records of what patients and families are saying directly to those in power. Each letter is written with one aim: to pull patients back to the top of the pyramid and to remind officials that the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness belong to the people—not to systems or entities.

This letter is an urgent call to action—a demand, not a request. It declares that the healthcare system in the United States is failing in its first and most sacred duty to heal, and sets out three core rules of R123: Do No Further Harm, Treat the Patient, and Collaborate to Heal. It calls on politicians, lawmakers, healthcare leadership, and citizens to help restore patients to the top of the pyramid and to hold institutions accountable when they put profit, politics, or bureaucracy ahead of human life.
